The updated Meridian will be the next product from Jeep India. The booking window for the SUV has opened across the country with a deposit of Rs 50,000. According to recent media reports, the 2024 Jeep Meridian facelift will launch two new entry-level models – Longitude and Longitude (O), equipped with 5-seat and 7-seat configurations respectively. Like the Compass Longitude, the new base version of the Meridian will feature a two-tone black and gray interior theme, along with a 10-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch instrument cluster.

Features such as a wireless phone charger, sunroof and fog light packages will also be available. Longitude (O) trim will include a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The new Meridian Limited (O) interior will feature a new beige interior theme as well as updated connected car technology. Most of its features will be carried over from the pre-facelift model. High-end Overland models will feature the Tupelo interior theme, new ADAS suite and connected car technology.

Similar to the upcoming model, the new 2024 Jeep Meridian is expected to be powered by a 2.0L diesel engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power of 170bhp and a torque of 350Nm. The new base Longitude (O) variant will be available in manual and automatic transmission options and come with a front-wheel drive (FWD) system. Limited (O) versions will continue to be available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (AWD) setups. Overland models are available with manual and automatic transmissions, with FWD available on the manual version and AWD on the automatic version.

Expect a slight price increase, but with the introduction of two new entry-level models, the starting price is likely to remain unchanged. Currently, the Meridian SUV is priced between Rs 29.99 lakh and Rs 37.14 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). In the premium three-row SUV segment, it will continue to compete with the Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner.
