2024 Maruti Dzire with new features, design unveiled at dealerships in blue hue
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the all-new 2024 Dzire sedan in India on November 11, 2024. Ahead of launch, the updated Dzire has been spotted at dealerships in a stunning blue hue, showcasing a refreshed design and several firsts – in-segment features that are likely to heighten its rivalry with the Hyundai Aura, Competition between Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.
New design and appearance updates
The new 2024 Dzire now sports a completely revamped look, shedding the previous model’s resemblance to the Swift hatchback. The front fascia features a redesigned chrome grille, stylish LED headlights with integrated turn signals, and updated LED fog lights. The rear end features a new taillight design, while new alloy wheels, chrome window trim, body-coloured door handles and a shark fin antenna complete the sophisticated look.
The interiors of the 2024 Dzire are expected to get major improvements, with a dual-tone black and beige theme. Lower trims will include fabric upholstery, while higher versions may come with leatherette seats. A larger 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, analog instrument cluster with 4.2-inch MID, automatic climate control and a multi-function steering wheel are also expected.
For added convenience, the Dzire will come with wireless charging, push-button start/stop, smart key access, rear AC vents, and Type A and Type C USB ports for rear passengers. As seen in the latest spy shots, the new Dzire will be the first model to feature a single-pane sunroof, making it stand out in the compact sedan segment.
Powertrains and expected variants
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire will retain the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Maruti may also launch CNG models in the future to expand energy-saving driving options.
The new Dzire will come with an extensive safety kit including 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), rear view camera and Hill Hold Assist. Other safety features may include ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS with EBD and the much-anticipated 360-degree camera.
With its upgraded features and first-in-segment offering, the new Maruti Dzire is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current model in the range of Rs 6.57-9.38 lakh (ex-showroom). The new price range is expected to start at Rs 6.5 lakh and go up to Rs 10.5 lakh for the top-spec model. Like the outgoing model, the new Dzire will be sold through Maruti’s Arena dealerships.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to open bookings for the 2024 Dzire soon and deliveries are likely to begin post-launch. Like its predecessor, the new Dzire will face competition from Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor in the sub-4 meter sedan segment and its novel looks and rich features will appeal to a wide range of buyers.
