The fourth generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been leaked ahead of its official launch on November 11, 2024. The compact sedan was spotted on a dealership lot and looks nothing like the current generation. In fact, its design changes are different from those of the Swift hatchback. The new 2024 Maruti Dzire features a new grille and sharply designed rectangular LED headlamps connected by sleek black accents. A chrome strip sits below the headlamp clusters, and the fog lamp assemblies have also been revised.
Its rear profile also undergoes significant cosmetic changes. The new Maruti Dzire’s taillights feature Y-shaped LED elements with a chrome strip spanning both lamp clusters. A revised rear bumper with contour elements and decklid add more of a crisp look. Diamond-cut alloy wheels are likely to be reserved for higher trims.
Similar to the exterior, the interior will also undergo comprehensive changes inspired by the new Swift. The new 2024 Maruti Dzire will feature a 9-inch standalone touchscreen infotainment system, analog instrument cluster with 4.2-inch digital MID, automatic climate control, and light-colored interiors and dashboard. Under the hood, the new Maruti Dzire will be powered by a new 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine instead of the old 1.2L, 4-cylinder K-series engine. The new motor also powers the Swift hatchback and is said to deliver 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque. The 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT gearbox will be carried over from the current generation.
With significantly improved styling, premium, feature-rich interiors and more efficient engines, the new 2024 Maruti Dzire is likely to be priced higher than the current generation. It will continue to compete with the Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze. Its main rival, the Honda Amaze, will also get a generation refresh early next year.
