India’s compact sedan market is filled with two notable contenders vying for consumers’ attention: the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Tata Tigor. 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire vs Tata Tigor Specs Comparison: Price
Maruti Suzuki’s latest Dzire comes in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. Prices for the top model start at Rs 6.79 lakh and go up to Rs 10.14 lakh. These introductory prices are valid until December 31st. The brand also offers subscription plans starting at Rs 18,248/month that cover registration, insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance. Dzire continues to offer petrol and CNG powertrains.
Meanwhile, Tata’s Tigor is priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9.40 lakh. It is the only sedan in India to offer CNG-AMT combination in two configurations: XZA CNG priced at Rs 8.70 lakh and XZA+ CNG priced at Rs 9.40 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

The latest Dzire is powered by a new 1.2-litre Z-series petrol engine that delivers 80bhp at 5,700rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. Outputs are slightly lower for the CNG model, with 69bhp at 5,700rpm and 102Nm at 2,900rpm.
In comparison, the Tata Tigor is powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 85 hp and 113 Nm of torque. The mill is available with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. As for CNG, the Tigor’s engine produces 72 hp and 95 Nm of torque, mated exclusively to a five-speed manual gearbox.

In terms of dimensions, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is 3,995 mm long, 1,735 mm wide, 1,525 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm.

Standard safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake assist, three-point seat belts for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat anchors and a rear defogger.
