It was only a matter of time before the new Aston Martin Vantage got a Roadster version, and it’s here. Like the Coupe, the Vantage Roadster combines the British brand’s signature good looks with some serious grunt. Not only does it offer more performance than the old model, but it has almost as much power as the DB12 Volante. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Like its Coupe sibling, the new Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is powered by the brand’s latest and greatest 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The engine produces 656 horsepower and 590 pound-feet (800 Nm) of torque, a significant increase of 153 horsepower and 85 pound-feet (115 Nm) over the previous model. These results have been achieved through larger turbochargers, modified camshaft profiles and optimization of the compression ratio.

Matched to the powerful V8 engine is an eight-speed transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential that sends power to the rear wheels. Aston says the car can accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).
