Ford has breathed new life into the Maverick with a comprehensive range of upgrades. One of the highlights is the introduction of an all-wheel drive option for the popular hybrid powertrain, which was one of the most anticipated features.

The standard powertrain is a 2.5-liter self-charging hybrid engine with 191 hp (142 kW / 194 PS). It’s paired with a CVT transmission and offers both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. For those looking for more power, the optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine produces 238 hp and comes only with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior updates focus on redesigned headlights, a new grille and tweaked bumpers. The lineup includes the base XL, mid-level XLT, premium Lariat and off-road Tremor, the latter of which was previously offered as an option package.

Each trim level is distinguished by unique styling features. For example, the Lariat has 19-inch wheels, while the Tremor is marked by orange trim. A new black package is available across the lineup, including a black grille, roof, badges and wheels. To complement the exterior, Ford is also introducing new color schemes.
New infotainment system
The interior of the 2025 model has been significantly upgraded. A new 13.2-inch touchscreen is featured on the dashboard, replacing the previous 8-inch touchscreen. This larger display integrates Ford’s SYNC4 infotainment system and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Drivers will also like the new 8-inch digital instrument cluster. To complement the technology upgrades, Ford has introduced new interior color and material options.
Maverick’s versatile 4.5-foot Flexbed retains its practicality with features such as built-in storage pockets, dividers, power outlets and a multi-position tailgate.
Maximum payload is 1,500 lbs (680 kg), 1,400 lbs (635 kg) for the AWD Hybrid and 1,140 lbs (517 kg) for the ICE. Towing capacity is 2,000 lbs (907 kg), the same as the outgoing model, but can be doubled to 4,000 lbs (1,814 kg) with the optional 4K Towing Package.
Pricing and Availability
Ford will begin taking orders for the 2025 Ford Maverick on August 1, with deliveries starting in late 2024. The base hybrid with front-wheel drive starts at $26,295, excluding a $1,595 destination and delivery charge. For comparison, the facelifted model is $875 more expensive than the 2024 MY Hybrid and $2,375 more than the outgoing Ecoboost.
