With these additions, the Hero Karizma XMR 210 Pro could become one of the best VFM motorcycles one can buy under Rs 2 lakh (Ex-sh)

If there’s one Indian 2W manufacturer that’s about to revamp its premium car portfolio, it’s Hero MotoCorp. The company is investing heavily in research and development to revitalize its high-end product line. One of the most interesting examples of this strategy is the Karizma 210 Pro shown at EICMA.

While the company is yet to confirm the name of the Karizma XMR 210 Pro, considering Hero’s strategy, it fits the product well. To start with, Hero MotoCorp is offering the Xpulse Pro version with upgraded suspension and the same version is also likely to be launched with the Karizma XMR 210 soon.

Unlike the Xpulse 200 Pro which has a fully adjustable (front compression and rebound, rear rebound and preload) long travel suspension to provide better off-road capabilities, the Karizma XMR 210 Pro is equipped with a USD telescopic front fork to provide better Handling and cornering abilities.

These USD forks come in a lovely gold tone which further highlights the premium quotient. When launched, the Karizma XMR 210 lacked some attributes that made it a complete motorcycle. One of these is the USD telescopic front fork, a glaring omission on the Supersports machine.

Now, Hero MotoCorp is ready to address this issue by launching a new variant of the Karizma XMR 210 that offers USD telescopic front forks. Equipped with these superior suspension components, the Karizma XMR 210 will gain enhanced handling and cornering capabilities and may set new benchmarks in terms of value for money.

What else is new?

Another major feature added to the Hero Karizma XMR 210 Pro is a TFT instrument cluster with dedicated switchgear, which will replace the current LCD unit in the standard model. This is a bit of a head-scratcher because the just-launched higher-end Karizma XMR 250 still comes with an LCD unit, while the Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210 come with TFT units.

These details may change when these motorcycles enter production in India. Hopefully we’ll see better quality TFT clusters in all the products shown off lately. Apart from these changes, the Karizma XMR 210 Pro will remain unchanged and position itself above the standard Karizma XMR 210 and Karizma XMR 250.

It will continue to offer excellent package including 210cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4V engine with peak power of 25.5 PS and peak torque of 20.4 Nm, 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, Bluetooth connectivity with navigation, automatic headlights , adjustable windshield, etc.
