With 2025 City range, Honda introduces greater differentiation between sedan and hatchback models
In addition to appearance enhancements, the new 2025 Honda City sedan and hatchback also receive several new features. Still, powertrain options remain the same as before. The new Honda City model will be launched in Brazil on November 9.
2025 Honda City facelift – exterior updates
The front fascia of the new 2025 City Facelift sedan has been updated with a refreshed grille. Additional horizontal elements have been introduced, with the upper chrome strip now narrower. At the rear, the bumper has been updated with horizontally placed reflective elements. Overall, cosmetic touch-ups ensure a more refined look and feel. In terms of size, the length of the new 2025 Honda City Sedan has increased by 25 mm.
Speaking of the 2025 City hatchback, it also gets an updated grille and bumper. At the rear, the bumper has been updated with a black lower frame. The New City Hatchback is 2mm longer. Both the sedan and hatchback get new alloy wheels. Depending on the variant, wheel sizes range from 15 inches to 16 inches. Dual-tone wheel color options also vary by model.
2025 Honda City Facelift – New Equipment
One of the important feature updates is the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB). This feature is available on the new City Sedan and new City Hatchback, as well as EX, EXL and Touring models. This function is integrated with the brake hold function.
Additionally, all models except the base LX now feature full 4-disc brakes. Other extras on EX, EXL and Touring models include a wireless charger and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are two Type A USB charging ports in the front, while rear passengers have access to two Type C USB ports.
According to Honda, the touchscreen infotainment system has been updated with new graphics, improved resolution, a new interface and three unique wallpapers. The rear camera’s resolution has also been updated to ensure clearer images. Depending on the model, the instrument console is either a 4.2-inch color TFT screen or a 7-inch color TFT unit. Higher-spec EXL and Touring models come with LaneWatch for blind-spot monitoring.
Dual-zone automatic climate control is only available on Touring models. The myHonda Connect connectivity package is available on both EXL and Touring models. For the 2025 City Sedan and City Hatchback, 6 airbags are now standard on all models.
Honda Sensing is available starting from the EX version. It comes with ADAS features such as Low Speed Following (LSF), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Frontal Collision Mitigation and Automatic High Beam Switching.
2025 Honda City facelift – Performance
All variants of the 2025 Honda City Sedan and City Hatchback are powered by a 1.5-liter flex-fuel naturally aspirated inline four-cylinder engine. According to the Brazilian Labeling Program (PBE), the engine ranks top in terms of fuel efficiency and emissions. Power output for both fuels is 126 hp, while torque is 155 Nm for ethanol and 152 Nm for petrol. The engine is matched with a CVT gearbox.
2025 Honda City facelift – pricing
The Base LX versions of the 2025 City Sedan and City Hatchback are both priced at R$ 117,500 (approximately Rs. 17 lakh). Prices for the new city sedan start at R$ 142,400 (Rs 20.70 lakh) for the top-spec Touring version. In comparison, the 2025 City Hatchback top-spec Touring is priced at R$ 141,400 (Rs 20.57 lakh).
