2025 Honda Levate updated in Japan

Recently, the Honda Elevator Factory in India released a black version, which is themed on an all-black theme, which is currently popular in the country. Honda has promoted the SUV from India, sold as a WR-V, to its domestic market in Japan. Now, this model comes in a black style version with Z and Z+ trim. Let’s take a closer look.

Honda’s stakes are updated in Japan

In January 2025, Honda launched the Black Edition in India and the Signature Black Edition in India, with a starting price of Rs 15.51 lakh (EX-SH). These versions have an all-black interior and exterior theme. It also comes with a black version of the badge on the backsplash. Both the black version and the iconic black version are based on the top ZX trim from India.

Now, Honda has launched a similar product in Japan through the WR-V, which is a rebranding enhancement. There, the Honda Call is in black style and starts at JPY 2,483,800 with Z and Z+ trim, which translates to approximately Rs 1,467 crore. Unlike the black version of India, it comes with the only crystal black pearl shadow.

The black style version can be found in any exterior color, including crystal black pearls. In Japan with WR-V, the black style is a combination of multiple exterior black highlights and an all-black interior. These include black door handles, black ORVM, black shark antenna and black alloy wheels with black nuts.

Inside, we get an all-black theme similar to the black version offered in India. However, we can’t see the rhythm ambient lighting system in India with the iconic black version. Elements such as glossy black inserts, black fillers on the dashboard and doors, and black stitches on the steering wheel are common. It is worth noting that the WR-V black style has fabric seats, which are different from the leather type in India.

Black style features

In Japan, along with the WR-V, Honda offers an option to combine all-black interior themes and black exterior highlights with any exterior colors to create an interesting combination. We believe that HCIL can increase sales in India by offering similar products here. Likewise, it may prove beneficial to provide a lower level of decoration.

With the launch of the Hiperate SUV, HCIL (Honda Motor India Co., Ltd.) has secured its position as the Asian subcontinent. This is a desperate release for Honda to survive amid the ever-evolving market trend. Likewise, the lift is a strong competitor to Honda’s exports, accounting for half of its total sales.

The overhead is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine with a sole that produces 119 bhp of peak power and 145 nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
