After its stunning debut at the 2024 EICMA in Milan, Italy, KTM is expected to launch the updated 390 Adventure in India on November 14. While the bike maker hasn’t revealed any information, a previously leaked brochure suggests the new version will be radically different from its predecessor, coming in two variants: X (road-biased) and R (off-road-biased). The 390 Adventure R will feature H50 TFT instrument panel, possibly with GPS and Bluetooth, adjustable suspension (230mm wheel travel), spoked wheels (21 inches at the front, 18 inches at the rear), cornering ABS, digital instrument console, traction control system and a seat height of 885 mm. It will also include cruise control, making it the first bike in its class to have this feature. The R version will reportedly come in a single paint scheme of orange and white.

On the other hand, the road-oriented 390 Adventure X will have a lower seat height of 825mm, similar to the Himalayan 450. It will ride on the same chassis and body panels as the 390 Adventure R, but with non-adjustable suspension and 200mm of wheel travel. Other features include standard ABS, alloy wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear) and an LCD display. As for colors, the X model will be available in two options (white/orange and black/orange).
2025 KTM 390 Adventure: Other Highlights
According to previously leaked test mule images, the new KTM 390 Adventure will have a larger windscreen, contoured fuel tank, redesigned taillight, one-piece seat setup, taller beak-style front fender and vertical mounting fender. LED projector headlights.
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is likely to be powered by the same 399cc single-cylinder engine as the 390 Duke. The unit produces maximum power of 45bhp at 8,500rpm and peak torque of 39Nm at 6,500rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. Although confirmed, the engine of the new KTM 390 Adventure may be slightly different.

The upcoming new generation 390 Adventure is expected to be priced between Rs 3.50,000 and Rs 3.70,000. It will compete with the Triumph Scrambler 400X, BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Yezdi Adventure.
