2025 Lexus IS300 gets F Sport Black IV special edition, but

Lexus has announced a new IS sedan special edition in Japan, along with minor changes to the 2025 MY range. The IS300 and IS300h get the F Sport Black IV treatment, with BBS wheels and black accents.

The fourth iteration of the F Sport Mode Black range features a new set of forged alloy wheels from BBS, finished in black. New wheels and black wing mirrors with a smoked chrome finish distinguish the new model from the previous IS300 F Sport Black III, which also had black exterior trim.

Inside, the F Sport Mode Black IV features ash wood inserts on the door cards and steering wheel, dimpled leather on the steering wheel and gear knob, and Ultrasuede upholstery on the heated and ventilated sports seats. The 8-inch digital instrument cluster features new opening graphics, and a panoramic monitor is standard.

The 2025 Lexus IS500 with the 5.0-liter V8 engine is still available and comes with black, white, or red leather seating options. The performance-focused sedan may not be available in F Sport Mode Black IV trim, but it has the same black mirror caps and smoked finish.

Finally, Lexus added an external power supply accessory (AC100V, 1,500W) to the IS300h accessory socket, making it possible to power the car’s systems with the windows closed.

Predictably, there are no changes to the powertrain. The IS300 is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the IS300h is equipped with a 2.5-liter hybrid engine, and the IS500 retains the 5.0-liter V8 engine. All versions of the sedan are rear-wheel drive. Note that the current-generation IS debuted in 2013 and received two consecutive facelifts in 2017 and 2020.

The 2025 Lexus IS series is already available for pre-order in Japan. Prices start at 4,810,000 yen ($30,700) for the entry-level IS300, climbing to 8,500,000 yen ($54,300) for the flagship IS500 F Sport. As for the F Sport Mode Black IV special edition, the IS300 is priced at 5,900,000 yen ($37,700) and the IS300h is priced at 6,350,000 yen ($40,600).

Lexus also announced that it has sold approximately 1.3 million ISs worldwide since the first-generation IS debuted in 1999.
