While the small sedan has seen a price hike, the new price tag now covers standard LED headlights and three prepaid oil changes.
- The price of the 2025 Nissan Versa will increase by $1,060 to $1,190 across all trim levels.

- 2025 could be the last year for the Versa, and it is expected to be discontinued soon.
Nissan has announced pricing for the 2025 Versa, which remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. However, the subcompact sedan has seen a significant price increase, starting at $17,190 before destination, a massive $1,060 increase from the 2024 model – apparently inflation is not a rumor.
The price hike means the 2025 Versa temporarily loses its title as the cheapest new car in the U.S. to the 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage, which starts at $16,695. However, the Versa still retains its position as the cheapest sedan, with a $605 price advantage over the 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage G4.
But don’t get too hung up on these comparisons; the Mirage is going out of production soon, as Mitsubishi won’t update it for the 2025 model year. As a result, the Versa will soon reclaim the title of America’s cheapest new car.
Nissan justified the added cost by introducing LED headlights as standard on the entry-level S and mid-level SV models, and it also bundled a Nissan Care Plan that provides up to three prepaid oil changes every two years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The model pictured here is the flagship Versa SR model, which features a dark chrome grille, 17-inch wheels, black side mirrors and a rear spoiler. Inside, the SR model gets an 8-inch infotainment system (rather than the standard 7-inch unit), four USB ports, a wireless charging pad, heated seats and a longer list of ADAS than the S and SV models.
The following table lists the prices of the 2025 Versa and the differences from the 2024 Versa:

Every model of the Nissan Versa is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 22 hp (91 kW / 124 PS) and 114 lb-ft (154 Nm) of torque, with a combined fuel efficiency of up to 35 mpg. The most economical model is the engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, while all other models use an Xtronic CVT transmission that sends power to the front axle.
Nissan claims it offers three models starting under $22,000 — the Versa, Sentra and Kicks — and three models priced under $30,000, the Altima, Leaf and Rogue.
The 2025 model year could mark the end of the Nissan Versa. According to earlier reports, the entry-level model is expected to be phased out of the Nissan lineup, rumored to be discontinued in April 2025. Coupled with the recent discontinuation of the Mitsubishi Mirage, the future of affordable subcompact cars in the U.S. market seems increasingly bleak.
