2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T released, equipped with 6-speed manual transmission

Following the launch of the 992.2-generation 911 GT3 earlier this month, Porsche has launched the 2025 911 Carrera T. The new Carrera T is only available with a manual gearbox and is now available as a convertible for the first time. It comes with front and rear bumpers, four slit-shaped LED DRLs in the headlights, new alloy wheels and redesigned taillights. Other notable highlights include a manual shift graphic decal on the rear window and Vanadium Gray metallic color on the emblems, wheels and mirror caps. A unique Carrera T appearance package is also available, which features blue highlights on numerous elements of the car’s exterior. Let’s take a closer look at other details of the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T.

2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T: What else?

The sports car’s interior features new Sport-Tex seats and a fully digital instrument cluster (also available on other 992.2 models). The black sports seats Plus come with heated seat cushions and four-way electric adjustment. However, they can be upgraded with 18-way adjustable seats made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). There is a shift pattern logo on the passenger side of the dashboard and an “MT” icon on the center console.

Similar to the standard Carrera, the 2025 model is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine that produces 388 hp and 459 Nm of torque. The coupe version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, while the convertible version takes 4.5 seconds. Top speeds are 295 km/h for the coupe and 292 km/h for the convertible.

Porsche now offers a six-speed manual transmission in the 911 T instead of the PDK dual-clutch automatic. The unit’s six forward gears are derived from the seven-speed gearbox used in the previous 992.1 model. It has an open-pore walnut knob and an automatic rev-matching feature that can be turned off. The car comes standard with a sports exhaust system that is said to sound better than the original one.

The 2025 iteration is the lightweight 911 Carrera, weighing 1,504kg. This is achieved through a six-speed manual gearbox, lightweight glass and less sound-absorbing materials. Optional carbon fiber-reinforced plastic bucket seats further reduce weight.

The car now features 13.8-inch front and rear brake discs with six-piston fixed calipers, compared to four-piston on the previous model. It comes with redesigned anti-roll bars, standard rear-axle steering and Porsche Active Suspension Management (also standard and lowered by 10mm).
