2025 Skoda Elroq shows more 'Tech-Deck' looks in official sketches
  • Skoda has released a sketch of what its upcoming all-electric compact SUV, the Elroq, could look like.
  • The new model will debut in October, but we already know most of its specs.
  • Elroq will use Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform and offer four powertrain/battery options.

Skoda continues to tease the Elroq electric SUV, releasing several exterior sketches. The all-electric model will debut in October as an EV version of the Karoq compact SUV.

The Skoda Elroq adopts the automaker’s modern three-dimensional styling language, introducing features that may be used by other future production models. One of these is the “Tech-Deck Face,” which is how Skoda describes the electric car’s new fully covered grille.

The Elroq features split headlights with matrix LED technology and slim bumper air intakes. The profile is similar to the larger Enyaq, with 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels. The rear adopts a wagon design with a large tailgate and familiar taillights.

As usual, the sketches are rather exaggerated, but Skoda has previously shown us photos of a camouflaged prototype that revealed its true proportions. The automaker also said the Elroq will be available in a new Timiano Green hue, combined with unique dark chrome exterior trim.

An early teaser highlights the interior, which will feature sustainable materials including recycled post-consumer clothing, Recytitan (made from 78% recycled PET), and Technofil (polyester and recycled Econyl yarn). Customers will be able to choose from four interior themes – Loft, Cabin, Suite, and Studio. Beyond that, the Elroq will feature a modern digital cockpit and the latest VW Group technology. Finally, it will offer plenty of practicality, with a spacious five-passenger cabin and 470 liters (16.6 cubic feet) of cargo space.

While the Elroq is scheduled to be officially unveiled next month, Skoda has already detailed the powertrain and battery options.

MEB-based models will be available with 55 kWh, 63 kWh, and 82 kWh battery packs, with a WLTP range of up to 348 miles (560 km). Power will come from a single (rear-mounted) or dual electric motors. Rear-wheel drive Elroqs will produce 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) or 282 hp (210 kW / 285 PS), while all-wheel drive versions will produce a total of 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS).

In a few weeks, we will know everything there is to know about the 2025 Skoda Elroq. Until then, check out the sketches, teaser video, and official photos of a lightly camouflaged prototype.
