2025 Skoda Octavia RS, Kodiaq RS revealed

Octavia RS gets updates for MY25, but this is the first time that the second-generation Kodiaq gets spicy RS option

The RS badges on the Skoda model mean only one thing – performance, they have revealed the MY25 version of the spicy Octavia RS. That’s not all, as the second generation Kodiaq finally gets the long-awaited RS variant.

What separates the RS from the standard variants immediately are the sporty bodywork and more aggressive wheels on the Skoda Octavia RS and Kodiaq RS. The change to bypass the movement is a glossy black accent, covered with red brake pads, LED matrix headlights and eye-catching red shadows.

Inside, the sport themes of the Skoda Octavia RS and Kodiaq RS continue as there are sports front seats with integrated headrests, the overall theme is largely an all-black thing with a red accent that adds some contrast to the atmosphere. To truly exude its performance identity, Skoda even added RS-specific graphics to the infotainment system as well as the display of the virtual cockpit digital driver.

The main party trick for these RS models is of course under the hood. Both have a 2.0-liter TSI Turbo-Petrol engine that hits 265 hp. This is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission, and the Kodiaq RS gets an all-wheel drivetrain. When it comes to RS badges, the spicy engine is not all, as there are variable ratio progressive steering settings in both models that can help driver steering feedback. There are also dynamic dampers to help keep these RS models around the corners. The Skoda Octavia RS can also reduce the sport suspension in exchange for this additional sport dynamic.

We know that Skoda will bring the Octavia RS and the second-generation Kodiaq to India sometime this year. Although there is no news about the RS variant of Kodiaq coming to India, if it does arrive, it may be a CBU unit with a very limited number.
