While the Australian model line-up is expected to remain unchanged through 2025, overseas markets have welcomed new models in recent months.

Repair and Warranty
Tesla provides support for Model 3 Four-year or 80,000km warranty – Battery and drive unit are covered by a separate eight-year or 160,000 km warranty (eight years or 192,000 km for the long-range and performance versions).
With so few moving parts, the Model 3 doesn’t require much maintenance. Tesla recommends changing the cabin filter every two years and checking tire tread, balance and rotation every 20,000 kilometers.
Due to regenerative braking, the brake pads and discs work less frequently than on internal combustion engine vehicles. However, Model 3 requires brake fluid inspections every two years, and brake pads and rotors every 12 months in cold climates.
Safety
The updated Model 3 currently does not have an ANCAP safety rating, although the pre-updated model received five stars in 2019. It’s unclear when ANCAP will award the updated model a rating.
