Toyota is hoping to make the 2025 Corolla fresh and enticing with a new FX special edition for 2025, while keeping the inevitable model-year price hike to a minimum. So, is the Corolla still good value for money?

Like last year, the cheapest model is the Corolla LE, which starts at $22,175 before a $1,135 destination and handling charge. That makes it slightly more expensive than last year’s model’s $22,050, and the destination charge also went up from $1,095, a change mirrored across the rest of the Corolla lineup.

Customers get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet (205 Newton-meters) of torque, paired with a CVT, and it’s money well spent. Like all other 2025 Corolla models, the LE comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes features like lane departure assist with steering assist and active driving assist. It also comes standard with 16-inch wheels.

Those willing to spend a little more can opt for the Corolla SE. The SE, priced at $24,615 compared to $24,490 last year, adds a larger 10.5-inch infotainment screen and power-adjustable seats, along with a few other tidbits including a revised front grille and a two-tone paint scheme.

Then there’s the new FX Special Edition. It builds on the SE trim and adds a unique rear spoiler, lowering springs and 18-inch satin black wheels with mechanical accents. The interior features Moonstone sport fabric seats with orange stitching and a 10.5-inch standard screen. It’s available in Midnight Black Metallic, Ice Cap with Midnight Black Metallic roof and Underground with Midnight Black Metallic roof. Pricing starts at $26,500.
The top-of-the-line Toyota Corolla (this side of the GR Corolla) remains the XSE model, which starts at $27,890, compared to $27,150 for last year’s model. It comes standard with a larger infotainment display and adds a nine-speaker JBL Premium audio system.
