8.0-inch screens for GX and GXL 12.3-inch screen for VX and UP
GX and GXL models are moving to a 7.0-inch dashboard screen and an 8.0-inch touchscreen, from 4.2-inch high in the former, but the latter drops from 9.0-inch.
Despite the shrinking size of the touch screen, it also seems to lose all the hard shortcut buttons for the flange. However, there is still a volume knob.
The smaller screen also comes with IT wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, as well as connected navigation services and over-the-air updates.
The VX and UP will stick with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, but move to Toyota’s latest infotainment venue.
12.3-inch digital instrument panel for VX and UP
They will also discard the 7.0-inch instrument display to support a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Now they have moved the smaller model climate control array to the same climate control array, indicating that screen-based adjustments will no longer be made to these settings.
They also lost the CD player, although now there is an HDMI port.
Although there are still physical switches for volume control and power buttons for touch screens, hard shortcut buttons for most hard shortcuts are missing. These sit higher now, just below the screen itself.
GR Sports
The connected service features have been extended to include remote air conditioning operations, vehicle and travel information, as well as alerts, all accessible via the mytoyota Connect smartphone app.
The subscription to be used with the new LandCruiser will be 12 months below the current three-year period.
Across the entire range, LandCruiser’s safety features suite will be improved, with all variants getting lane-centric assist and emergency steering assist tools (formerly unique to VX and above).
All variants are also set to get Toyota’s emergency driving stop system. If the vehicle detects that the driver is not responding, it will safely pull itself away as long as the adaptive cruise control system and lanes are adapted to the activity of the central system.
In addition to this, a safe exit system warning has been used, which has been added to the LandCruiser 300 variant with blind spot monitoring (GXL and above), and the GXL also gets Toyota’s rear parking support brake function to prevent low-speed collisions.
Small-scale specific changes include the LandCruiser GXS getting adjustable steering columns, first-row LED interior lighting, and a guide to reverse cameras.
The LandCruiser GXL now features a faux-Sed fabric interior, an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat (with lumbar support), fourth-quarter climate control, a central console cool box and a 40/20/40 split folding second row second row seat that includes a central shelf.
The mid-range VXS will be equipped with eight-way electric-adjusted passenger seats and electric tailgate.
Current LandCruiser 300 Series Series
GR Sport Examples will get the puddle lights for the tailgate, while the Sahara and Sahara VX will not change.
The LandCruiser’s Twin-Turbo 3.3-liter V6 diesel engine hasn’t changed, which continues to produce 227kW and 700nm, transported to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Toyota has not announced pricing for the 2025 Landcruiser 300 series and has announced more information is close to its second quarter launch.
The current 300 series lineup starts at $96,991 before the road cost of the base GX, up to $145,791, and then on the flagship of the flagship Sahara ZX.
