Triumph has officially unveiled the updated Speed Twin 1200 and the all-new Speed Twin 1200 RS, bringing more power, cutting-edge technology and a fresh design to the range. The 2025 models feature an upgraded performance, more powerful engine and advanced electronics for a smoother and more dynamic ride. The Speed Twin 1200 RS, in particular, caters to riders seeking precision and agility with sportier handling through enhanced suspension and braking systems. Both models retain Triumph’s iconic retro styling, now with an updated aesthetic design for a more modern feel. The motorcycles have been launched in several global markets including Europe, the UK and the US. They are expected to arrive in India around 2025.

2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200, New 1200 RS: Styling Hints
The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 has a true retro design and is available in three paint finishes: Crystal White, Fiesta Red and Aluminium Silver. The motorcycle features a new round fuel tank embellished with a striking ‘1200’ graphic and a flip-top fuel cap. The minimalist side panels exude elegance and blend seamlessly with the brushed aluminium throttle body cover. The redesigned engine casings feature an angular, all-black look. At the rear, the exhaust pipes are smaller but still retain their iconic sound and appeal. At the front, the headlight is surrounded by a brushed aluminium bezel and features a sleek cast aluminium trim. The motorcycle now rides on updated cast aluminium wheels with vintage-style spokes and the handlebars on the standard model have been raised for a more comfortable riding position.
The sporty “RS” model features a more aggressive riding position with footpegs positioned further back for a forward-leaning stance. Baja Orange and Sapphire Black are the two available colors. In addition, the “RS” logo on a gold decal can be seen on the fuel tank. While the RS version shares several features with the standard model, its seats feature a brushed finish and anodized suspension elements, underlining its sportiness.
2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200, New 1200 RS: Feature Set and Hardware
In terms of features, the Speed Twin 1200 offers Road and Rain riding modes, while the RS model includes an additional Sport mode. Both models come with dual-channel ABS, with the RS benefiting from Cornering ABS for increased braking confidence when cornering. The instrument cluster retains its retro look, with the round dials housing a TFT display that offers turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity. Additionally, the bike comes with a USB-C charging port.
The updated Speed Twin 1200 gets chassis upgrades such as a new Marzocchi front fork and dual rear suspension setup. In contrast, the Speed Twin 1200 RS features a sportier ergonomic setup, including repositioned handlebars and rear-set footpegs. In addition, it is equipped with a fully adjustable Marzocchi front fork, Öhlins rear suspension, and Brembo Stylema brake calipers. It also comes with Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tires as standard.

2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200, new 1200 RS: mechanical details
The Speed Twin 1200 retains its 1200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine but gets new cams and a sportier tune that raises the redline to 8,000rpm. Output is up 5bhp to 103.56bhp, with peak torque at 112Nm. The engine is still mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch, while the RS model gets a bidirectional quickshifter for smoother gear changes.
