2025 Vespa GTS launched with larger 310cc liquid-cooled engine

The new Vespa GTS makes its global market debut with a larger 310cc liquid-cooled engine (a long-stroke derivative of the previous 278cc high-performance engine). The new power unit contains more than 70% new components and has higher performance. For example, the single-cylinder stroke is now 70 mm, up from 63 mm previously. This increases displacement from 278cc to 310cc and power output to 25bhp at 7,750rpm.

The new Euro 5+ engine is more efficient, reducing fuel consumption and pollutants. Other powertrain modifications include fuel injectors, cylinder inclination, starting system and crankcase design. With all these enhancements, the GTS 310 becomes the most powerful Vespa ever.

From a design perspective, the Vespa GTS 310 exudes class. It features an elegantly designed front apron, prominent side panels and a neat rear end. The scooter comes in two variants: GTS Super and GTS SuperSport. These models stand out with seat and wheel color graphics.

Two-wheelers have evolved significantly in recent years, and Vespa is no exception. The new GTS 310 features rear electronic traction control and ABS brakes on both wheels. It has LED lights and USB ports. Additionally, there are options such as front fender protection, heated seats, heated grips and a rear luggage rack.

Piaggio Group participates in EICMA 2024

The Piaggio Group was the main highlight at this year’s EICMA, with all brands adding a variety of new products. April launched the much-anticipated Aprilia Tuono 457, updated RS 660 and new RS 660 Factory at the event. The Tuono 457 is the street variant of the RS 457 and is currently priced in India at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in two color options (Puma Gray and Piranha Red), a split headlight design and boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights. To match the overall streamlined and muscular appearance, a tank extension was used in place of the RS 457’s fairing. Other features include rear-mounted footrests, two-piece seat and belly exhaust.

The 2025 RS 660, on the other hand, now features winglets for improved aerodynamics and a more powerful Euro 5+ engine. It also comes with an enhanced active electronic control package. The RS 660 Factory is equipped with modern Ohlins suspension with a 43mm NIX 30 series front fork and STX 46 shock absorber with integrated reservoir. Both include fully adjustable hydraulic rebound and compression damping as well as spring preload.
