Volkswagen’s popular compact crossover is more powerful and luxurious than before
- Volkswagen has released the 2025 Tiguan price for $29,495, an increase of $615.

- The flagship SEL R-Line is priced at $39,755 and comes with leather, walnut trim and backlit trim.
Volkswagen introduced the redesigned Tiguan last fall, and now the company announced pricing will start at $29,495 before receiving another $1,425 destination fee. This adds $615, but customers will receive a crossover reward of significantly improved.
The entry-level Tiguan S begins with a more expressive design along with LED lighting and 17-inch alloy wheels. They are connected to the body colored side mirrors, silver anode anode roof rails and a slightly longer wheelbase.

The interior has a minimalist makeover, with the driver sitting behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel, where they stare at the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.9-inch infotainment system. Other highlights include wireless smartphone chargers, seven-speaker audio system and dual-zone automatic climate control system.
The cloth seats come standard, as are four 45-watt USB-C fast chargers. Volkswagen also noted that the transferor has been moved to the steering column, which helps create an open and ventilated cabin.
The IQ.Drive Assist Systems suite is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go, Travel Assist, Front Assist and Active Blind Spot Monitor. Light Assist, Lane Assist, Emergency Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, Park Distance Control and Exit Warning Joined them. Buyers will also find four new airbags and keyless entry.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 201 HP (150 kW / 204 PS). This adds 17 hp (13 kW / 17 ps), and Volkswagen notes that the latest model should be more effective due to the weight savings of about 170 pounds (77 kg). The company has been keeping other details, but front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is the $1,500 option.
The rising ladder is the $32,995 Tiguan SE, which has a lightly revised exterior with lift doors and larger 19-inch wheels. This model also features a remote start and a windshield wiper heater.
There was a bigger change inside as customers would find the perforated leather front seats with eight-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. They are added by an automatically lowered rearview mirror, front street lighting and a 10-color ambient lighting system.
Volkswagen also mentioned a new atmosphere, which synchronizes ambient lighting and audio settings to “a harmonious mix of vision and sound.” While it will think of bad nightclub images, the system offers up to five presets as well as customizable modes.
Shoppers looking for Sportier can choose from the $35,455 SE R-Line Black. It features an R-Line bumper, black mirror cap and 20-inch black wheels. Buyers will also find black roof railings, black side curtain accents and glowing door handles.
The interior changes are more modest, but the cabin is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a perforated sport steering wheel and black headlines. They are along with stainless steel pedals, overhead display, frameless automatic shading rearview mirrors, and scratched panels with R-line logos.
Sitting on the top of the series is the $39,755 SEL R-Line, which is standard on all-wheel drive. It maintains the R-line beauty, but it drops a black accent thanks to the silver roof rails and 20-inch silver wheels. The model also features a illuminated Volkswagen logo, a soundproof windshield, lift door kick sensors, and mirror-mounted puddle lights that project the Volkswagen logo onto the ground.
The biggest upgrade takes place on the heated, ventilated and massaged front seats and is wrapped in premium Varenna leather. They are connected by a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.
It’s just the tip of the iceberg, as the Toper Topper Sports fusion American American American American American Wood trim and rear light trim for the dashboard and front doors. Customers will also find a larger 15-inch infotainment system, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Audio system and a three-zone climate control system. Highlights are a more advanced center console, 30-color ambient lighting system and Park Assist Plus.
