2025 Yamaha FZ-25
Remember the Yamaha FZ-25 sold in India? This was the company’s quarter-litre product launched in India, which received a poor response in the market due to several factors. Sluggish sales prompted Yamaha to discontinue production in India, where strong sales of the R15 continue to bring in volumes.
However, in Brazil, Yamaha calls this street-naked motorcycle the Fazer FZ25, which is not the case in India. Here we get the FZ-25 street-naked motorcycle and its streamlined version, the Fazer 25. The latter was considered one of the worst-looking motorcycles by the Indian motorcycle fraternity and was discontinued in 2020.
Sticking with the newly updated model, the company calls it Novo Fazer FZ25 Connected and honestly, that sums up the update. In addition to the feature upgrades, the Novo Fazer FZ25 Connected is available in four color options – Branco Cristal, Magma Red, Racing Blue and Titanium Grey. Only Branco Cristal has the Golden Wheel.
Yamaha also seems to be selling the 2024 Fazer FZ25, which is priced at R$ 2.29 million (Rs 3.38 lakh) and comes in Magma Red, Matte Grey, Matte Green and Racing Blue colours. The 2025 model also gets new body graphics.
What updates are there?
Apart from color options and pricing, we can also see the new ORVM design of the 2025 Yamaha FZ-25 launched in Brazil. In addition to this, there are LED turn signals that replace the halogen turn signals of the MY24 Fazer FZ25. The major change, however, is the bike’s instrument cluster, which is a larger, fully digital unit.
For the first time, it features Bluetooth connectivity. Flanked by storytelling lights, this digital instrument panel displays the speedometer, tachometer, trip computer readout, average fuel economy readout and more. When connected via the Y-Connect app, this display shows the phone’s battery status as well as notifications for incoming calls and messages. Navigation and gear indicator functions appear to be missing.
This engine has been used with the Yamaha Novo Fazer FZ25 Connected. This 249cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine produces a peak power of 21.3 horsepower and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
