2026 Ford Explorer Tremor looks ready to take risks

Ford introduced the makeover explorer at last year’s Chicago Auto Show, and now the company is preparing to launch a tremor variant. CEO Jim Farley confirmed the news, who tweeted the trailer and said the model was “coming soon.”

Although Farley didn’t elaborate, the trailer shows a Liftgate with a yellow tremor badge. We can also see the revised rear bumper that looks like it is a silver trim.

It’s not that much, but off-road-centric variants will replace the forest line with a number of solid upgrades. Details are minimal and far apart, but the tremor variants usually readjust the suspension and increased ride height. We can also expect all-terrain tires, skateboards and in off-road driving mode.

They should be added with some relatively small styling tweaks to help make the tremor different. These probably include yellow accents and possible recovery hooks.

Very little is known about the interior, but the Explorer driver should find a familiar 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and use Google’s built-in 13.2-inch infotainment system. This provides access to Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play Store.

Under the hood, we can expect a 2.3-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder engine or a 3.0-liter Ecoboost V6. The former produces 300 hp (224 kW/304 ps) and 310 lb-ft (420 nm) of torque, while the latter produces 400 hp (298 kW/406 PS) and 415 lb-ft (562 nm).
