2026 Skoda Space: A first look at the flagship seven-seat electric car

  • Spy photographers have captured the first photos of Skoda’s three-row electric crossover.
  • The model is set to be launched in 2026, and the company has suggested calling it Space.
  • This model is based on the MEB platform and is approximately 9.8 inches longer than the Enyaq.

Skoda unveiled the Vision 7S concept nearly two years ago, but spy photographers have finally captured the production model. It’s expected to be called Space, and the company has previously confirmed it will be unveiled in 2026.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){ adpushup.triggerAd(“0f7e3106 -c4d6-4db4-8135-c508879a76f8”); } else { adpushup.triggerAd(“82503191-e1d1-435a-874f-9c78a2a54a2f”);

The electric three-row crossover, being tested in northern Sweden, is well-camouflaged but sports a modern and rugged design. Details are hard to make out, but we can see the rounded front fascia and swept-back headlights. They are connected by a large central air intake and angled air curtain.

Looking further back, we can see the streamlined body and flush-mounted door handles. Designers also gave the crossover a spacious greenhouse that seems to remain relatively true to the concept. The prototype also features a long sloping roof and aerodynamically optimized front wheels.

window._taboola = window._taboola || (); _taboola.push({ mode: ‘thumbnails-a-mid’, container: ‘taboola-mid-article’, location: ‘Mid Article’, target_type: ‘mix’ } );

window._taboola = window._taboola || (); _taboola.push({ mode: ‘thumbnails-oc-2×1’, container: ‘taboola-mid-article-thumbnails-organic’, position: ‘middle article thumbnail organic’ , target_type: ‘mix’ });

There’s not much to see out back, but the model gets a large spoiler and vertical taillights. The latter flows into the liftgate and mimics the concept. It’s also worth noting that Skoda has previously said the model will be approximately 192.9 inches (4.9 meters) long, which is about 9.8 inches (250 mm) longer than the Enyaq.

Spy photographers didn’t get a close look inside, but the crossover can seat up to seven people. Skoda also promises the model will offer “flexibility and huge interior space.” The Space also seems likely to feature a 14.6-inch portrait infotainment system, although it’s not entirely clear yet.

Powertrain details also remain elusive, but the concept is based on the MEB platform and features an 89 kWh battery pack. This brings the WLTP range to over 373 miles (600 kilometers).

There’s not much to say, but it’s possible that the model shares some motors with the facelifted Enyaq. That means there could be a rear-mounted and dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS).
