3 New Event Tech Tools to Make Your Conference More Amazing

Augmented reality, 3D visualization and artificial intelligence add branding, logistics and meaning to projects

Will event technology finally become the meeting professional’s best friend? For those looking to further evolve their marketing, procurement and engagement strategies, three new products could be a strong argument in favor of relying on digital assistants.

Beyond QR Codes

Event production company Animatic Media this week launched a new product called Intelligent Content that is designed to bring conference content to life. The new technology allows attendees to easily share information, videos and messages to their phones through event signage and products, without the need for QR codes.

“With intelligent content, we aim to redefine how conferences and events engage audiences,” said Scott Frankel, CEO of Animatic Media. “Our platform allows event organizers to seamlessly integrate interactive elements into every aspect of their event, from signage and presentations to trade show booths and even everyday items like cups and napkins.”

A logo or image can serve as a gateway to a slideshow, PDF resource, or product demonstration.

Smart Meeting says: Use the technology creatively to reimagine what attendees might be wondering while they’re in the audience, walking by a booth, or even sitting at a table. A little empathy can go a long way toward setting up potential interactions that lead to deeper connections.

Deep Space

Have you ever wondered how many seats are left in ballrooms at convention centers across the country before registration officially closes?

Following its recent acquisition of Merri, Tripleseat has integrated the company’s 3D and 2D visualization technology into its design tools. The result is that event planning and management is seamlessly integrated with floor plan design, all on one platform. Tripleseat Floorplans allows you to create to-scale diagrams in minutes through its user-friendly interface and collaborate with florists, speakers, and DJs in real time using shareable floor plans. Immersive 3D virtual tours of unique venues reduce surprises and save travel time on site visits.

Smart Conference: While field trips aren’t going away, more accurate virtual tours can increase the number of venues considered and reduce the number of people needed on each field trip, saving time and money.

Meetings can be noisy and distracting. How do you ensure attendees understand the ideas presented?

Cvent’s new personalized AI-powered event summaries feature gives attendees a near-instantaneous recap of the sessions they attended, eliminating the need to take notes during the session. The tool also compiles key moments from the entire event, including exhibitor booths and breakout sessions. Each summary provides actionable event takeaways for attendees to review and share later.

Smart Meeting says: While the technology takes control out of the hands of meeting professionals by sharing information directly with attendees, it also promises to expand the impact of the experience beyond the date and location, giving them a holistic view of the event.
