It is expected that the electric SUV will be equipped with a battery pack of about 40-50 kWh, with a single charging range of more than 400 kilometers. Elevated electric vehicles will be manufactured in Tapukara, Rajasthan-based Honda, and the facility will be retrofitted for electric vehicle production.

Honda is currently developing a new 7-seater SUV for the Indian market. It is expected to debut in 2027, and the 3-row SUV will be on the elevated floor in the brand’s lineup. The design and development of the three-row SUV is said to be handled by Honda’s R&D centers in Japan and Thailand, and has made significant investments from India. We hope the 7-seat SUV will get the familiar 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which will power the elevated and the city, as well as a powerful hybrid option to perform duties on the city E:HEV.

3. Honda ZR-V Hybrid

Honda plans to bring the ZR-V to the Indian market. If all goes well, the hybrid SUV will start rolling on the road at the end of this year or early 2026. While its final call to launch in India has not yet been made, the ZR-V will be sold in India via CBU.
