Royal Enfield to expand its 650cc motorcycle portfolio with the launch of 3 new models, including Classic 650 and Bullet 650
Royal Enfield, one of the country’s most popular two-wheeler manufacturers, is gearing up for a range of new motorcycles that it plans to launch in the coming years. Among them, the 650cc series will also see expansion, and a number of new models have been confirmed to be launched as scheduled. In this article, we will take a look at 3 upcoming RE 650cc motorcycles in India.
1. Royal Enfield Bear 650
Royal Enfield recently launched its fifth bike based on its 650cc platform Bear 650. The Interceptor-based Scrambler uses familiar underpinnings, but with significant changes to the suspension setup and wheels. The front wheels are 19 inches and the rear wheels are 17 inches.
The Bear 650 is suspended on a Showa USD fork up front and a traditional dual shock at the rear. The Scrambler comes with a fully digital instrument cluster, which is completely different from the latest Himalayan 450. The Bear 650 is powered by the familiar 648cc parallel-twin engine, but now it produces more torque at 56.5 Nm, while the power output remains the same 47 hp.

2. Royal Enfield Classic 650
The Classic 650 will make its debut at EICAM 2024 and will be a larger displacement version of Royal Enfield’s best-selling Classic 350. Expected to share its underpinnings with the Shotgun 650, the two-wheeler will draw power from the familiar 648cc parallel engine – the twin outputs 47.4 bhp and 52.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Production-ready test mules have revealed that the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 will ride on wire-spoke wheels, but alloy wheels with tubeless tires may be available as an accessory. Apart from this, the design of the Royal Enfield Classic 650 will retain its retro charm and will feature dual pea-shooter exhausts.

3. Royal Enfield Bullet 650
Spied on multiple times during testing, the Bullet 650 is expected to be launched in the Indian market next year. Royal Enfield is likely to position the Bullet 650 at the bottom of the current 650cc range. The latest near-production test mule shows that the motorcycle shares its design with the Bullet 350 and the upcoming Classic 650.

The one-piece seat, round headlight, familiar teardrop fuel tank and spoked wheels are some of the highlights of its retro design. The Bullet 650 will share its underpinnings with the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. The two-wheeler will be powered by a 648cc parallel-twin engine outputting 47.4 bhp and 52.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
