Toyota Fortuner has long dominated the full-size SUV segment, with buyers looking for performance and attractiveness becoming the first choice. However, the game is heating up and several new competitors are challenging its dominance. From feature-packed products to powerful diesel and gasoline options, these upcoming models will shake the market. Here is a glimpse into the SUV that can make Fortuner money:

1. New Skoda Kodiaq:

While not a direct competitor to the heavyweight, Skoda Kodiaq remains a notable competitor due to its pricing and premium positioning. The upcoming second-generation Kodiaq will enter the Indian market in the coming months, with a refreshed design, a more upscale cabin and major platform upgrades.

2. MgMajestor:

The upcoming SUV will continue to be powered by Gloster’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine, delivering peak torque of 213 bhp and 478 nm. The eight-speed automatic transmission will be equipped with standard. In addition, buyers can also choose to equip the SUV with a 4WD system. Gloster made its local debut at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.

3. SuzuMu-X makeover:

Isuzu recently launched a mildly hybrid diesel powertrain for the D-Max and Mu-X in Thailand. This setup pairs a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 161 hp and 400 nm of torque and provides a variable turbocharger to ensure improved enhanced control. Enhanced combustion technology also contributes to smoother power transmission and quiet engine operation. Although MU-X has already made a makeover in the global market, rumors are circulating about its Indian debut. However, Isuzu still holds firmly and has no official news about its plans for the country.

4. Toyota Fortuner MHEV:
