To strengthen its market position, leading OEMs such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra and Toyota are launching their new models for specific areas this year. Here is a brief overview on the first 4 upcoming 7-seat SUVs or family cars to be launched in 2025.
Upcoming 7-seater SUV in India
7-seat Maruti Grand Vitara
The Daily Automaker plans to launch this year for three major products this year, including the E Vitara, the Fronx Hybrid and the Grand Vitara-based 7-seat SUV. this Upcoming 7 people Maruti Grand Vitara Its platform, design elements, interior and functionality as well as powertrains and its 5-seat siblings will be shared. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has sold the news-heavy Maruti Grand Vitara as Toyota Hyryder. Similar to the Indian-Japanese automaker, Toyota will bring in the three-row version of the Hyryder at the end of this year. The overall design and styling of the 7-seater Toyota Hyryder will be similar to its 5-seater version. As a premium product, it may have improved material quality, fit and finish. In fact, the automaker may offer some extra features on this family SUV, including the ADAS suite. For power, the new Toyota 7-seat will use the same 1.5-liter K15C petrol mild hybrid and 1.5-liter Atkison Cycor Cyster Cyster Cyster strong Hybrid powertrain and borrow from Hyryder.
Mahindra Xuv700 Retrofit
The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the best-selling SUVs from native car manufacturers in India. Now, this SUV will receive a major midlife update in the second half of 2025. The updated XUV700 may come with slightly improved styling and internal fittings while retaining the same engine setup. The Mahindra & Mahindra will also drive an electric version of the XUV700 by the end of 2025. This electric SUV may be named ‘Mahindra Xev 7e‘. As of now, there is no official word for powertrain. However, the electric XUV700 is likely to share a 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack with the Born-Electric Mahindra Xev 9E. The smaller battery pack offers a 542 km (MIDC) range, while the larger one promises a full 656 km. It will most likely come with an optional AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The Mahindra Xev 7e looks slightly different from the ice cubes, some of which are EV-specific design elements.
