These include the Mahindra XUV 3XO, known for its rugged build and smart features; the modern Venue, which blends style and innovation; and the Honda Elevate, which focuses on comfort and safety. These cars not only cater to the needs of urban drivers but also incorporate ADAS features once reserved for the premium segment. In this article, we will look at the top five ADAS-equipped affordable cars in India, highlighting their key features and value for money.

Mahindra XUV 3XO
Topping the list is Mahindra’s XUV 3XO AX5L model priced at Rs 12.24 lakh (ex-showroom). This model inherits the XUV700’s advanced secondary ADAS technology, including forward collision warning (FCW), automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, intelligent driving and other functional assistance, traffic signs Identification and driver fatigue detection.
In terms of powertrain options, base MX1, MX2 PRO, MX3 and AX5 models are equipped with a 109-horsepower, 1.2-liter turbo-gasoline engine, with a choice of six-speed manual transmission or six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 115-horsepower, 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine is also available with a six-speed manual or a six-speed AMT gearbox. AX5L and premium models, meanwhile, are powered by a more powerful 129bhp, 1.2-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine, mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or an Aisin-produced six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Next up is the Hyundai Venue SX (O) priced at Rs 12.44 lakh (ex-showroom). This model comes with a camera-based ADAS suite that offers advanced features such as forward collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping support, high beam assist, and safety features such as forward vehicle departure alert. The venue offers three engine choices: 114hp, 1.5-litre turbodiesel with 250Nm of torque; 118hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 170Nm of torque; 82hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) Petrol engine that produces 115 Nm of torque.

The third car on the list is the Honda City V manual version, which is priced at Rs 12.70 lakh ex-showroom. It comes with a camera-based ADAS suite that offers features like lane keep assist, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, collision mitigation braking system and automatic high-beam control. The Honda City is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 119 hp and 145 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission.

Next up is the Kia Sonet based on the Hyundai Venue. The ADAS-equipped GTX Plus model is priced at Rs 14.72 lakh (ex-showroom). Like the Venue, the Sonet also includes a camera-based ADAS suite with features such as forward collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist, high beam assist, front vehicle departure alert, and other safety features. The Sonet comes with a choice of three engines: a 114bhp, 1.5-litre turbodiesel producing 250Nm of torque; a 118bhp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 170Nm of torque; and an 82bhp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 115Nm. meters of torque.

Finally, we have the Honda Elevate ZX manual, priced starting at Rs 15.21 lakh (ex-showroom). Like the Honda City, the Elevate also has a camera-based ADAS system that offers lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, a collision mitigation braking system and automatic high-beam assist. This SUV is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that provides 119 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, and can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission.
