5 new 7-seater diesel motorcycles to be launched in India soon

India’s 7-seater ICE car market is gearing up for a surge in new models from manufacturers such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota and MG from 2025 and beyond

Several carmakers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, Kia and MG are gearing up to launch new seven-seater combustion engine vehicles in India next year. These upcoming products are designed to meet the growing demand for spacious family cars, offering consumers a wide range of choices. Here’s a first look at the upcoming products:

1. MG Gloster facelift:

The facelifted MG Gloster is expected to make its debut in the coming months with minor updates to its exterior design and interior to enhance its overall appeal. While the modifications will provide a refreshed look, the SUV is expected to retain its current engine and powertrain options but will add new features and technology.

2. 7-seat Kia hybrid SUV:

Hyundai Motor is developing a new SUV for the Indian market, code-named Ni1i. Scheduled to be launched in more than two years, the C-segment SUV will be positioned between the updated Alcazar and Tucson in Hyundai’s Indian lineup. Manufacturing will take place at the Talegaon plant near Pune, which will also produce the second-generation Venue.

Hyundai Motor reportedly plans to expand its SUV portfolio with several upcoming models. Ahead of the launch of the Ni1i, the company will focus on strengthening its already popular SUV range. The Ni1i will be Hyundai’s first model to feature full hybrid technology, marking a milestone that can significantly improve fuel efficiency.

3&4. 7-seater Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder:

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder will be launched as three-row models for the first time in the first half of 2025. The new models will feature design and interior improvements, including third-row seats, to cater to a wider audience. Buyers can also look forward to premium feature upgrades on these upcoming products.

5. Kia lacks a facelift:

Kia plans to refresh the Carens in mid-2025, introducing fresh exterior styling and interior upgrades while retaining existing powertrain and transmission options. In addition to this, an electric version of the Carens is also in development, expanding the model’s line-up. The brand is also reportedly developing an electric version of the Sonet.
