5 new SUVs coming soon

Kia is betting big on the upcoming Syros sub-4 meter SUV, which will compete with the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and the upcoming Skoda Kylaq. It is one of the SUVs that Kia plans to launch in 2025. Its pricing will be announced in February, following its public unveiling at the Bharat Mobile Expo 2025 in January.

In an interview with an online media outlet, Kia India managing director Gwanggu Lee revealed that the company believes total sales of Kia Syros will grow by about 18% and reach 300,000 units next year. Currently, buyers prefer large, feature-rich SUVs, which account for nearly 54% of total passenger vehicle (PV) sales in the country. He also said that Kia India will continue to expand its SUV portfolio as there is huge potential in small and compact SUVs. The Korean automaker plans to launch five new SUVs in 2025, including Syros, updated Carens, Carens EV, new-generation Seltos with hybrid powertrain and Sonet EV.

Design and interior updates may be inspired by the Kia EV5 and EV3 respectively. The SUV is expected to feature newly designed LED headlights and taillights, revised front and rear bumpers, and new alloy wheels.

Similar to the ICE model, this electric model will be equipped with premium features such as a Bose audio system, dual 10.2-inch displays, and ventilated front seats.
