Maruti and Vitara
The Maruti E Vitara Electric SUV will be launched into the showroom in the next few weeks. The automaker revealed that its first electric car will be equipped with two battery pack options – 49kWh produces 144bhp and 61kWh, which offers 174bhp. Both will be paired with the motor as standard. The taller trim will be specially provided with dual motor AWD (all-wheel drive) with larger battery packs. Maruti Grand Vitara 7 seats
The three-row version of the Maruti Grand Vitara is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2025. Once launched, this 7-seater SUV will face challenges from the Mahindra Xuv700, Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari. It will share platform, powertrain, internal, functional and design elements with its 5-seat siblings. This means that the new Maruti 7-seat SUV will be equipped with 1.5-liter K15C petrol mild hybrid and Toyota’s 1.5-liter Atkinson Cycle Cyprol Patrol Powertrain options. Read more…
New Representative Maruti Baleno
Maruti Baleno will be mixed with the generational changes in 2026. According to media reports, the next-generation Baleno will feature the Suzuki Hev Strong Hybrid Hybrid powertrain, which will debut on the Fronx in the coming months. Maruti Fronx EV
The electric version of the Maurti Fronx will be positioned on the Tata Punch EV. The automaker has not disclosed its launch schedule yet. However, electric vehicles may land on the road in 2027. The Fronx EV is expected to borrow its powertrain setting from the E Vitara, which comes with options for 49KWH and 61KWH battery packs. Read more…
Maruti electric hatchback
The Indian-Japanese automaker is working to compete with the Tata Tiago EV for the affordable electric hatchback. Codenamed Y2V, this EV may be based on the Suzuki EWX concept.
