Kia India has started teasing its upcoming new Carnival MPV and EV9 electric SUV to grab buyers’ attention. Prices of both the models will be announced on October 3 and deliveries are expected to start before Diwali 2024. The vehicles will initially be shipped to India via the CBU (complete vehicle assembly) route. However, the company plans to start assembling the new Carnival locally at a later stage. Some Kia dealers have already started accepting bookings for the MPV at a pre-sale price of Rs 1 lakh.
As fully imported models, the 2024 Kia Carnival MPV and EV9 are expected to be priced at around Rs 50 lakh and over Rs 10 lakh respectively (ex-showroom price). While the Carnival has no direct competitor in India, the EV9 will compete with the BMW iX, which is priced at Rs 14 lakh.
