The Flying Spur has dropped the W12 engine in favor of a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 plug-in hybrid
Bentley has unveiled the latest Flying Spur around the world, featuring a host of new updates. As the most powerful four-door configuration in the brand’s history, the luxury sedan swaps its previous iconic W12 engine for an electric powertrain shared with the Continental GT.

New Bentley Flying Spur: powertrains and specifications
The Bentley Flying Spur has a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged enhanced V-8 engine and incorporates plug-in hybrid technology, which can produce 782 horsepower (147 horsepower more than the previous W12 engine). It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a peak torque of 1,000Nm. The engine transmits power through an 8-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission).
The 25.9kWh battery provides a pure electric range of 76km at a top speed of 140kph, with a peak charging power of 11kW, and can be fully charged in 3 hours. The Flying Spur is also equipped with Bentley’s high-performance active chassis. Bentley Dynamic Ride and all-wheel steering enhance the dynamics.

New Bentley Flying Spur: Exterior and Interior
The Flying Spur’s exterior has been subtly updated. The sedan will now feature a larger grille, revised front and rear bumpers, a revised rear diffuser and new 22-inch alloy wheels.
The interior features a new diamond quilted seat pattern, 3D diamond hidden trim on the doors, and Bentley Wellness 4 seats with posture adjustment and seat automatic climate control. It also features a rotating display with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 3 analog dials and handcrafted finish options. A 10-speaker 650W audio system is standard, with an optional 2,200W Naim system.
The Flying Spur offers a host of customisation options, including a vast selection of exterior and interior colours and materials.
India Availability and Expected Price
The Bentley Flying Spur CBU is scheduled to be launched in India in 2025. The sedan will be priced higher than the predecessor model. With no direct rivals, the new Flying Spur will compete with luxury sedans such as the Rolls-Royce Ghost and the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
