The South African version of the Exter comes with projector H-shaped LED daytime running lights, projector-based halogen headlights, 15-inch alloy wheels and LED taillights with H-shaped elements. However, the grille on this model is finished in black chrome instead of the black grille on the Indian version.
On the interior, the SUV comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and automatic air conditioning with rear vents. It also gets a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), six airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear-view camera, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) for safety.
Hyundai Exter: Under the Hood
The global-spec model is powered by the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Indian model, which produces 82 hp and 113.8 Nm of torque. It comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. However, unlike the latter, the South African Exter does not offer a CNG powertrain.
