The Nissan Magnite is about to get its first major upgrade four years after it was first launched in 2020. Nissan will launch the facelifted Magnite on October 4, 2024. Ahead of the official launch, the company has released a teaser of the upcoming sub-4-meter SUV, drawing our attention to the updates to its exterior and interior.
2024 Nissan Magnite facelift teaser
Currently, the Nissan Magnite is a popular model in the sub-4-meter segment with an average monthly sales of about 2,500 units. It was also the only model in the company’s portfolio before the X-Trail arrived in India recently. To further boost its demand, Nissan India is actively testing the 2024 Magnite with several feature updates, while it will continue to be powered by the same engine lineup.
The 2024 Nissan Magnite was spotted testing with a number of exterior updates under its new guise. It features a revised front fascia with a new grille design, revised front and rear bumpers, updated L-shaped LED daytime running lights and taillights. It also features new alloy wheels with a 7-spoke design, while a new exterior paint scheme is also likely.
The interior is also likely to see some improvements to increase comfort for the driver and passengers. These could include new colors and seat materials. It could also feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system (compared to the current model’s 8-inch screen), along with a digital driver display unit, wireless phone charging, and a single-pane sunroof. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car technology, and OTA could also be part of its interior updates. Features could also extend to rain-sensing wipers, ventilated seats for the driver and front passenger, and a premium audio system.

Safety and engine specifications
The safety features can be further enhanced with a total of 6 airbags. It will continue to be equipped with the safety equipment of the current model. These include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. The Nissan Magnite also comes with safety features such as rear parking sensors with camera, panoramic view monitor, hill start assist and traction control and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which can also be carried over in the facelifted model.
There won’t be any updates to the Nissan Magnite Facelift’s powertrain options. It can continue to draw power from the same 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that currently produces 100 hp of power and 160 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or CVT. A 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will deliver 71 hp of power and 96 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed MT or AMT. Exact engine specifications will be announced at the time of launch.
As far as the competition is concerned, the 2024 Nissan Magnite Facelift will continue to compete with Renault Kiger, Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch in the sub-4-meter SUV segment. Considering its feature updates, its pricing will definitely be adjusted. The current Magnite is priced from Rs 6 lakh (excluding taxes).
The Nissan Magnite will be manufactured at the plant near Chennai, India. From here the car will also be exported to 40 countries across the world. The left-hand drive version of the Magnite will also be exported.
