Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition launched, priced at Rs 49.8 crore

Land Rover has launched the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition in India, priced at Rs 49.8 crore (ex-showroom) and limited to 12 units. Developed by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), this special edition pays homage to the Ranthambore National Park, blending luxury with rugged off-road capability. The car features unique design elements including a custom two-tone exterior and nature-inspired interior. With advanced technology and premium materials, the Ranthambore Edition caters to those looking for exclusivity and performance in the ultra-luxury SUV segment. Limited production enhances its appeal, making it a sought-after model for collectors and enthusiasts looking for a rare and unique Range Rover. Notably, the company will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each vehicle to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India, supporting initiatives that promote tiger and wildlife conservation efforts.

Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition: Appearance tips

Range Rover describes the special edition as capturing the majesty and essence of a tiger in its natural environment. Inspired by the key role Ranthambore National Park plays in tiger conservation, the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition has been curated by SV Bespoke. It comes in a custom deep black body color with a shimmering red effect that pays homage to the majestic hue of the tiger. Corinthian bronze and anthracite accents that resemble tiger stripes further enhance the design. This paint job extends to the roof and mirror caps, and the vehicle rides on striking 23-inch forged dark gray wheels with Corinthian bronze inlays.

The cabin of the Ranthambore Edition is trimmed in Caraway and Light Perlino semi-aniline leather with contrast stitching. Meanwhile, the vibrant tiger spine stripe pattern also provides inspiration for the creative embroidery on the seats. Other interior features include personalized scattered seat cushions, elegant chrome highlights, light linear wenge veneer and white ceramic dials.

The car features fully reclining seats and a long wheelbase. Other features include an electric club table, expandable cup holders and a refrigerated compartment with SV etched glassware. The Ranthambore Edition’s bespoke touches include unique paint, accent details, special wheels, embroidered seats and cushions and SV Bespoke branded pedals, branded with ‘Ranthambore Edition’ and ‘1 of 12’ designations.

In terms of features, the car comes with amenities such as a 13.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, digital LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRL), 11.4-inch rear touchscreen, active noise cancellation system, and more. – Equipped with 35 speakers, 1,600W Meridian Signature audio system, 8-inch touchscreen controls for rear seats, cabin air purifier and 3D surround camera system.

Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition: Powertrain options

Mechanically, the four-wheel drive Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that can output a maximum power of 394 horsepower and a peak torque of 550 Nm. It’s coupled to an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Range Rover Autobiography Edition is priced at Rs 2.6 crore (ex-showroom) and also comes with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
