2025 Kia Ray EV launched in South Korea

To keep customers happy, Kia not only gives the 2025 Ray multiple updates, but the price remains the same

Launched in 2011, the Kia Ray has been updated several times over the years. It rides on the same platform as some other Hyundai-Kia cars such as the Kia Picanto and Hyundai Casper and i10. Kia Ray is available in ICE and EV specifications.

2025 Kia Ray – What’s New?

The Kia Drive Wise I (ADAS) package for 2025 Ray EV passenger car models is now equipped with additional features as standard equipment on all models. It now offers forward collision avoidance assist (FCA, vehicle/pedestrian/cyclist), cruise control and lane following assist.

The heated leather steering wheel now features black high-gloss trim. Other features that have been carried over include Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Keeping Assist (FCA, Vehicle/Pedestrian/Cyclist), High Beam Assist, Intelligent Speed ​​Limit Assist and Driver Attention Warning with Preceding Vehicle Departure Notification.

The Drive Wise II package, available on higher trim levels of the Ray EV, includes rear side collision assist. It also has rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist and safe exit warning. The Style package includes projector headlights, LED DRLs, LED auxiliary brake lights and LED rear combination lights. All models of the 2025 Ray (EV + ICE) come equipped with an indoor fire extinguisher, adding extra safety. Another update that applies to all 2025 Kia Ray models is the installation of dual speakers.

Talking about the 2025 Kia Ray petrol variant, features like air purification mode and fully automatic air conditioning are now standard on the Prestige trim. The top-spec Signature trim comes standard with an electronic parking brake. Further increasing safety is the cyclist identification feature. This has been added to the existing Forward Collision Avoidance Assist feature. An electronic parking brake is also part of the styling package. Those who want it can even get it in the base-spec Trendy trim of the 2025 Kia Ray.

2025 Kia Ray EV price, battery and range

For the 2025 Ray EV, Kia is keeping the price unchanged. The 4-seater passenger model is priced at KRW 27.75 million (Rs. 17.58 million) and KRW 29.55 million (Rs. 18.72 million) for the Light trim and Air trim respectively. The 2-seater van Light version and Air version are priced at KRW 27.45 million (Rs. 17.39 million) and KRW 27.95 million (Rs. 17.71 million) respectively.

The 1-seater models in Light trim and Air trim are priced at KRW 27.35 million (Rs. 17.33 lakh) and KRW 27.80 million (Rs. 17.62 lakh) respectively. The electric microcar is equipped with a 35.2 kWh battery and has a driving range of up to 205 kilometers (127 miles) in South Korea. Within city limits, the distance is up to 233 kilometers (145 miles).

New color options

For the 2025 Ray, Kia has introduced a new Adventure Green exterior color option. Customers can also choose from a new two-tone gray customizable exterior color package. It has been updated with black A-pillars and roof using adhesive film. It helps achieve a sportier silhouette together with the other black components. For example, there’s dark metal front and rear trim and blackened front and rear skid plates. Additionally, there are black ORVMs and 15-inch black alloy wheels.

2025 Kia Ray gasoline 1.0 liter price

The 1-seater van model is the cheapest, with prices starting at KRW 13.4 million (Rs 8.49 lakh) for the base-spec Trendy model. The 2-seater van Trendy model is priced at KRW 13.5 million (Rs. 8.55 lakh). The 4-seater Trendy passenger model is priced at KRW 14 million (Rs. 887,000). Prices for the top-spec Gravity passenger car 2025 Kia Ray start at KRW 19.28 million (Rs. 12.22 lakh).
