Jeep Compass Anniversary Edition gets cosmetic changes on exterior and interior
Jeep has launched a special Compass Anniversary Edition to celebrate the SUV’s eight years in the Indian market. This limited-edition model offers a new set of visual enhancements and unique accessories that differentiate it from the standard model. While pricing details for this special edition have yet to be announced, Jeep is open for pre-order online and at authorized dealers across the country.
Main features and add-ons
The Jeep Compass Anniversary Edition features a two-tone decal on the hood that adds a unique aesthetic. The sixth grille slot is trimmed in Velvet Red, creating a subtle yet unique look. Inside, the special edition comes with velvet red seat covers, enhancing the premium feel of the cabin. In terms of accessories, the Compass Anniversary Edition includes white ambient lights to create a more refined interior atmosphere, and is also equipped with an integrated driving recorder to increase convenience and safety.
However, Jeep is yet to confirm whether the Anniversary Edition will be available in all trims or limited to specific variants.
Powertrain and performance
Under the hood, the Jeep Compass is still powered by the familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic. While it’s unclear whether the Anniversary Edition will be available with two transmission options, the standard Compass is available with front-wheel drive, and the top-end Model S (O) variant also offers an optional 4WD setup.
competitive position
The Jeep Compass is priced between Rs. 18.99 Lakhs Rs 32.41 Lakhs (ex-showroom). This puts it in a highly competitive segment, facing not only rivals such as the Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson, but also Indian products such as the Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700.
