New Citroën Ami unveiled alongside Buggy Vision concept car

At the Paris Motor Show, Citroen launched the 2025 new Ami in addition to the C4, C4 X and C5 Aircross concept cars.

The 2025 Citroën Ami made its debut at the ongoing Paris Motor Show along with the ATV Buggy Vision concept. The updated Ami retains its dimensions but comes with upgraded lights, bumpers and a new Citroën badge. It features revised headlights, wrapped in black “eyelids” and raised to the base of the windshield. A new capsule resembling a bright smile was added between them. Other notable highlights include stripes on the right front fender and left rear fender, as well as wheel covers featuring LEGO cubes. Citroen hasn’t revealed any cabin changes yet, so we’ll assume everything remains the same.

The French carmaker has also not revealed the powertrain, which means the 2025 iteration will continue to use a 5.5kWh battery with a range of up to 74km, and an 8bhp electric motor. Top speed is 28 km/h.

The quirky Buggy Vision concept appears to be a futuristic beach-themed Ami. It features black graphics, a midnight blue color scheme, a contrasting white top, thick tires, black wheel arch protectors, white Citroën badges, yellow headlights, rear spoiler and a roof-mounted LED light bar.

The concept has a sunroof but no doors. According to Citroën, “the designers designed this body version of Ami with a kitesurfing theme.” A dedicated kiteboard holder on the tube door and a dedicated luggage compartment for kite sails add to the adventure. Inside, the concept’s interior features infrared accents and redesigned seat cushions with a quilted pattern.

Citroën has yet to confirm anything, but market rumors suggest the intriguing concept could evolve into a production model. The likelihood that this quirky masterpiece will be available for purchase is high, as previous versions of the My Ami Buggy were so well received by customers that Citroën was forced to increase its relatively small production run.
