Unlike previous models, the 2025 Jeep Meridian offers a 5-seat option, with trunk space of approximately 670L with base trim
With the festive season just around the corner, Jeep India has joined in the festivities with the launch of the updated 2025 Jeep Meridian. This is not a facelift but just an update that introduces new features and variants to boost sales during the festive season. This is also the first time that Jeep Meridian has launched a 5-seater layout.
2025 Jeep Meridian released
The Jeep Compass 3-row version has been on sale for some time. Due to its premium positioning and associated pricing, the Meridian isn’t a stellar example of sales. For context, only 55 Meridian units were sold in September 2024, down 38.89% year over year and down 8.33% month over month.
To boost sales during the festive season, Jeep has launched the updated Meridian with a starting price of Rs 24.99 lakh (excluding taxes). Jeep India aims to turn things around with the launch of new models as it embraces a new strategy, offering the 5-seater version of the Meridian for the first time. In addition, this is the first time Meridian has gained ADAS functionality. To be precise, there are 10 ADAS functions.
Trim lines include Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O) and Overland. Base Longitude adopts a 5-seater layout and has 670L of luggage space, as well as a 10.1-inch Uconnect system and other equipment. Higher variants add more features. Buyers looking for the just-launched ADAS system will have to shell out a bit for the top-spec Overland trim.
No design elements have changed on the outside and the 2025 Jeep Meridian’s appearance remains unchanged. Inside, Jeep offers new suede inserts along with contrasting copper accents and copper stitching, depending on the trim level selected. Other notable features include a panoramic sunroof, power ventilated seats, and the Uconnect telematics suite.
The sole 2.0L diesel engine with 170 PS peak power and 250 Nm peak torque continues to work. The engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed torque converter automatic. 4X2 and 4X4 drivetrains with the Jeep Selec-Terrain system are also available, depending on trim level.
