Royal Enfield has been a dominant force in the premium 350cc to 500cc motorcycle segment with great success. Royal Enfield has been updating its 350cc product portfolio over time. First we saw the new Bullet 350, then the 2024 Classic 350, and now we see the first update to the Hunter 350.

With a large collection of 350cc retro motorcycles, Royal Enfield has become the undisputed king of premium motorcycle manufacturers in India in the 350cc, 450cc and 650cc segments. It is the company’s second best-selling vehicle after the Classic 350 and Royal Enfield’s lightest motorcycle.

The Hunter 350 is the most affordable 350cc motorcycle in Royal Enfield’s lineup and has great appeal among Indian buyers. Priced starting at Rs 1.5 lakh (Ex-sh) for the base Factory variant and Rs 1.70 lakh (Ex-sh) for the Metro variant, the Hunter 350 offers a variety of attributes to cater to a wider audience.

As can be seen from the spy shots, the 2025 Royal Enfield Hunter 350 comes with some new elements compared to the current model. The major new addition to the upcoming Hunter 350 is the LED headlights, which replace the smaller halogen lamps in the current model.

The headlight setup has a circular shape and looks similar to the lights offered on other Royal Enfield motorcycles. Another change found on this test mule is a new rear suspension setup. The current model offers linear dampers, which are known to give a stiff ride that can lead to an unpleasant experience.

The new rear dual shock absorber setup features progressive springs with two different spring rates (K). This allows manufacturers to tune the ride quality of the motorcycle as there will be two stages of damping for different types of loads and road conditions. Bike seat heights may be slightly different with new suspension.

what happens?

The new LED headlights are likely to come only on the more expensive Metro variants, while the base Retro will continue to feature halogen lights. The move could be to make the bike available at a starting price of Rs 1.50 lakh (excluding taxes). The new suspension is likely to be available only on the top-spec Metro variant, as the second test mule still has linear rear springs.

The powertrain will remain unchanged. The 349cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine can produce a peak power of 20.2 horsepower and a peak torque of 27 Nm, and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. With a curb weight of just 181 kg, the Hunter 350 is the best-performing 350cc Royal Enfield engine on the market. Launch is likely to take place in early 2025.
