TVS Motor Company has launched a new variant of its Raider 125cc commuter motorcycle in India. The new model is called TVS Raider iGO and is priced at Rs 98,389 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Raider model range currently comes in six variants – Drum, Single Seat, Split Seat, iGO, SSE and SX. The new Raider iGO is exclusively available in a new Nardo Gray color scheme, red alloy wheels and ‘Boost mode’.
Powering the new TVS Raider iGO is the same 124.8cc air- and oil-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motor is claimed to deliver 11.38PS at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm at 6,000rpm.
In Boost mode, the bike delivers a peak torque of 11.75Nm, an additional 0.55Nm. TVS claims that the Raider iGO benefits from iGO technology and improves fuel efficiency by 10%. The regular Raider 125 can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.8 seconds.
Similar to the lower version of the Commuter, the new iGO version has the same color LCD console. There are no other changes made to the new variant. It continues to feature a conventional telescopic fork at the front axle and twin shock absorbers at the rear axle.
Stopping power comes from 240mm front brakes and 130mm rear drum brakes. The bike can also be equipped with 130mm drum brakes at the front and rear. It comes with 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels.
