MPI Academy rates attendees

The MPI Academy continues to grow, with active participation and satisfaction from the entire industry in its four main activities.

According to data released by IMEX America 2024 earlier this month, attendees reported a 90% satisfaction rate with education at IMEX America EMEC92% satisfaction World Endurance Championship100% satisfied Thought Leadership Summit and 99% satisfaction event.

MPI’s Global Meetings Industry Day was once again a success, with 3,836 people registered and a total of 283,230 minutes of education gained, or approximately 2.5 hours per person. Overall, the campaign was a success, with an NPS score of 46, overall satisfaction of 96%, and relevant content of 95%.

From January to September 2024, MPI Academy issued more than 1,000 certificates. More than 300 meeting professionals earned certificates in new AI-enhanced events, demonstrating the need for quality education around artificial intelligence and event technology.

Newly added this year Event Welfare Champion Certificate from Google Neu project, Golf event planning With partners Frisco, event psychology strategist certificate and Professional development coaching group Visit Fort Worth with partners—all designed to enhance and expand the toolbox of MPI industry professionals with relevant industry education.

Detroit Conference 101

MPI works with Visit Detroitlaunched its workforce development Scheduled for September 2024. The program includes a comprehensive toolkit provided to all chapters that includes a career exploration guide, brochures, short forms and PowerPoint presentations for local schools. As part of this effort, MPI launched a “Meeting 101” course for middle school students and issued certificates at three Detroit schools this fall. The program is designed to inspire the next generation of professionals by educating students about career opportunities in the meetings and events industry.

MPI launches two new industry association partnerships this summer, adding Association of Government Meeting Professionals and Association of LGBT Meeting Professionals Its growing list of partners.

In addition, MPI and International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEA) and Association for Excellence in Incentive Travel (SITE) has been relaunched Global MICE travel cooperationissued a new certificate “MICE Basics: Introduction to Meetings, Exhibitions and Incentives”, delivered for the first time on IMEX America Smart Monday. This certificate provides emerging professionals and seasoned professionals who wish to better understand the business events ecosystem with a strategic overview of all three event types. The course is scheduled to take place at ITB Asia at the end of this month, IMEX Frankfurt and in the United States in 2025, with further dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

MPI is working with WWF (WWF) works to develop global strategies to reduce food waste. In 2024, WWF conducted a study, Demonstrate desire for changeThe survey found that while many meeting professionals recognize food waste is a significant issue, viable solutions are still limited. MPI and WWF work with venues and global clients to develop new global norms to reduce food waste through: Dream Initiative, which stands for Transfer, Restore, Empower (and Educate), Align, and Measure.
