We keep witnessing crazy customized SUVs and this Mahindra Scorpio N is a great example
I recently came across an overly modified Mahindra Scorpio N. For nearly two decades, Scorpio has been an iconic nameplate in our country. The Indian auto giant has launched a premium off-road 3-row version of its regular SUV and named it Scorpio N. Those who still want the original version can opt for Scorpio Classic. Over the past few years, we have seen many car owners heading to aftermarket auto shops to customize their vehicles. The aim is to enhance road presence and make their cars stand out from the crowd. That’s why we see so many unique SUVs on the road. Now, let’s look at the details of this recent case.
Modified Mahindra Scorpio N
This instance originates from auto.war on Instagram. At the front, it has a cutout bumper, which is often used by off-road SUVs to increase the vehicle’s approach angle. In addition, this bumper can also be equipped with a functional winch, which is very useful in off-road situations. The very edge of this bumper is where the aftermarket fog lights are located. On the sides, we can experience huge alloy wheels and off-road tires. Interestingly, the wheel arches are painted in body color.
Additionally, there are two dedicated side steps to enhance passenger entry and exit characteristics. There’s a sturdy luggage rack on top and a ladder on the quarter glass. Finally, the rear includes a roof-mounted spoiler, a high-mounted brake light, a sturdy bumper with tow hooks and a new decklid-mounted spare wheel. All these elements ensure that this SUV has an imposing presence on the road. Furthermore, these make it one of the most unique Mahindra Scorpio N SUVs you will come across.
my opinion
There are countless examples of hardcore off-road modifications to famous SUVs. However, I must mention here that most of them are illegal in India. Therefore, I strongly recommend readers to consult their local RTO before making such customizations. This will ensure that you don’t get into trouble with the traffic police in the future. However, if you are using it as a passion project or in a remote location away from city rules and regulations, then you can certainly go ahead. Anyway, I will keep an eye out for more cases like this in the future.
