Skoda Kylaq price starts at Rs 7.89 lakh – Booking, delivery

The new Skoda Kylaq small SUV has finally made its global debut and has been announced with a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh. The full price list and variant details will be announced in the coming months. The booking window will open on December 2 and the model will make its public debut on January 17 at the Bharat Mobile Expo 2025, with deliveries starting on January 27. This is the third Skoda based on the MQB-A0-IN platform after the Kushaq and Slavia. In the sub-4 meter SUV segment, Kylaq will face competition from various models such as Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Maruti Brezza.

The Kylaq adopts Skoda’s “Modern Solid” design language, with the brand’s signature radiator grille, new split LED projector headlights and LED daytime running lights above. It also gets a dual-tone bumper with cladding at the front and a pronounced bonnet. Some other design highlights include 17-inch wheels, black alloy wheels, square wheel arches, black roof rails, shark fin antenna, thick C-pillars, pentagonal taillights with LED inserts, and a chunky rear bumper

Compared with the Kushaq, the wheelbase of the Skoda Kylaq is shortened by 230 mm to 2,566 mm. Its overall length is 3,995 mm. The subcompact SUV has a ground clearance of 189 mm. The new Skoda compact SUV has a best-in-class luggage space of 446 liters, and the rear seats can be folded in a 60:40 ratio to further expand the luggage space. The interior is very similar to the Kushaq. The Skoda Kylaq comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system running a new operating system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, climate control panel and side air conditioning vents. The infotainment unit supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Skoda compact SUV also offers a wireless phone charger, a single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, keyless entry and electric seat adjustment for the driver and front passenger. The Kylaq’s standard safety kit includes six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat mounts and electronic differential lock.

A 1.0L, 3-cylinder TSI petrol engine will be available. The Skoda Kylaq will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The turbocharged petrol engine is said to produce 115 hp and 178 Nm of torque. The new Skoda compact SUV is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds.
