The decision follows a global recall of the same model and underscores Honda’s commitment to maintaining strict safety standards worldwide.
The recall affects Gold Wing Tour equipment produced between March 2018 and May 2021. Although Honda has not revealed the exact number of affected motorcycles, the recall is a proactive step to eliminate any potential risks.
Replacement process
The two-wheeler manufacturer will replace faulty transmission gear bolts free of charge at BigWing dealerships across India starting from the third week of December. The service will be available on all affected motorcycles regardless of warranty coverage, underscoring Honda’s focus on customer safety and care. For the uninitiated, the Honda Gold Wing is priced at Rs 39.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
