Hyundai Verna gets price hike, gets rear spoiler

Hyundai India has launched a new update for its Verna mid-size sedan, adding a new Amazon Gray color option and a rear spoiler to the lineup. Along with these updates, the prices of all variants except the entry-level EX have been revised and are priced at Rs. 4000/- increased across the entire range. Verna now starts at Rs. The EX variant is priced at Rs 11 lakh and comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and manual gearbox. The top-spec SX(O) DT variant is priced at Rs 17.48 lakh and comes with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The addition of Amazon Gray expands the Verna’s monotone color options to eight. The sedan also retains two dual-tone options – Atlas White with a black roof and Fire Red with a black roof – available only on the turbo petrol variant. Prices for single-tone and dual-tone options remain unchanged.

The new rear spoiler features a split design that adds a different visual element to the rear of the sedan, but resembles an aftermarket look.

There are no mechanical updates in this release. The Verna continues to be offered with two engine options: a 115 hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT; and a 160 hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed gearbox.
