Royal Enfield has taken a major step in its global expansion strategy by opening its first independent motorcycle assembly plant outside India. The new 57,000-square-foot factory in Samut Prakan, Bangkok, Thailand, is designed to produce more than 30,000 motorcycles per year to meet growing demand in Southeast Asia. With Thailand becoming Royal Enfield’s largest market in Asia after India, this local production center will play a vital role in meeting the growing demand for the iconic Royal Enfield motorcycles in the region. In addition to the Thailand factory, the brand also operates CKD assembly plants in key markets such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Bangladesh and Nepal, further strengthening its international presence.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the new factory, Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said, “Royal Enfield has been committed to growing the middleweight motorcycle market globally. We have seen a huge response from the international audience, who are looking for Unique motorcycles that are easy to use and reflect their personality. We offer a range of evocative motorcycles on different platforms to cater to a global audience.

Royal Enfield: Sales Report
Royal Enfield reported a 2% growth in total sales with 82,257 motorcycles sold in November 2024 as compared to 80,251 units sold in the same month last year. While domestic sales fell 4% to 72,236 units, exports surged 96% to 10,021 units from 5,114 units in November 2023.

From April 2024 to November 2024, Royal Enfield’s total sales increased by 4% to 647,000 units. Domestic sales increased by 2% to 584,000 units, and global shipments increased by 29% to 62,646 units. This highlights the brand’s growing popularity, both domestically and internationally.
